Background:

My name is Martin, a graphic designer and frontend developer based in the Oslo region of Norway. I specialize in creating visually captivating identities that seamlessly transition into digital landscapes, encompassing digital profiles, web applications, advertisements, and animations.

As a well-rounded graphic designer with a particular focus on digital solutions, I comfortably navigate various visual fields. My expertise lies in creating prototypes, developing web applications, and crafting engaging content. In addition to my proficiency in digital design, I also have experience in traditional design practices such as printing, editorial design, and concept development.

In frontend development, I possess an understanding of the fundamentals, proficiently coding in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I specialize in Vue.js and its extensions, utilizing this JavaScript framework to create dynamic single-page applications that integrate REST APIs and Sanity. Additionally, I am currently expanding my skill set by learning React.js, another widely-used framework in modern development.

I have a bachelor's degree in graphic design from Kristiania University College (formerly known as Westerdals SWOACT). During my academic journey, I had the privilege of studying at the esteemed PaTI - Paju Typography Institute in South Korea, further enhancing my design acumen. To complement my design education, I dedicated a year to frontend development studies at Kristiania University and gained valuable industry experience through an internship at the communication agency, Daytwo.

Currently, I am contributing my talents to Supernordic, a design agency based in Oslo, where I collaborate with a dynamic team to create exceptional visual experiences.

Strengths:

As a digital designer, I specialize in creating engaging digital content and developing interactive applications. With expertise in both graphic design and frontend development, I bring a comprehensive skill set to each project, spanning from conceptualization to the final product. My focus lies in harnessing creativity and visual communication, complemented by a solid understanding of development technicalities. This dual proficiency allows me to effectively collaborate with frontend developers, ensuring streamlined communication and a clear understanding of their requirements. Additionally, I possess the capability to independently code certain components or entire projects if they are not overly complex.

I embrace both leadership and teamwork, recognizing that honesty is the cornerstone of a successful project. Working in motivated, result-oriented teams is something I greatly enjoy. However, I am equally adept at working independently and maintaining efficient progress while delivering punctually. I have a deep appreciation for well-executed animation and willingly take on animation tasks when it aligns with the design requirements and client preferences. In terms of my personal style, I gravitate towards black and white color palettes, both in my designs and my wardrobe - a common affinity among designers.
